Q: How can I access the "Teacher Options."

A:

In all of our programs we have a hidden "Teacher Options" menu that allows the teacher to customize and create certain aspects of what the children will see on the screen. To access the teacher options, simply open the program and hold down "Shift+Ctrl+O"; Mac Users - "Shift+Apple+O" (that is the letter 'O').

A: Yes! All 2SimpleUSA software can be purchased online with the help of PayPal services. To purchase online click here and choose which program(s) you would like to include in your school setting.
  Q: Can I try before I buy?
A: Yes! We allow for all of our titles to be evaluated for 30-days prior to purchasing. When the evaluation period has come to an end you have three options: (1) You can purchase the software for use in your school setting, (2) Return the software, and all you pay for is the postage, or (3) Ask for an extension to evaluate further. During the evaluation period, you are allowed to install the program(s) on as many computers as you wish (i.e., a lab), but if you decide not to purchase the software, it must be uninstalled from every machine and returned.

  Early Learning Toolkit FAQ's
  Q: Can I import pictures?
A: Yes! The Early Learning Toolkit allows you to import saved pictures, or copied pictures into the 2Publish, 2Go and 2Count applications. In 2Publish, all of the templates allow for images to be imported into the drawing field. Images can be imported from the Internet, or from a file on the computer. It is also possible to enable the right-mouse click (Ctrl-Click for Mac users) so that images can be copied and pasted. To enable the right-click option, go into the "Teacher Options" menu and under the "Tools" tab, check the box to enable this option.
Q: How can I allow for more room where my text goes? It cuts off the word(s) when I reach the end of a text box.
A: Throughout the Early Learning Toolkit you will notice that there is room for text. These areas are designed for a certain amount of characters. To fit more text into a text area, like in a template in 2Publish, we recommend changing the font and its size, which can be done by clicking on the font button located on the top toolbar. If the font button is not enabled (showing), then in the "Teacher Options" menu under the "Font" tab, you can check for it to show or not to show.
Q: If a child clicks the print icon more then once, how can I make it so that it only prints one copy?
A: The Early Learning Toolkit has a very unique and creative feature. In the "Teacher Options" menu under the "Printing" tab, you can chose to have the print icon appear on the top toolbar always, not at all or actually have it timed to disappear and reappear once it has been pressed. Once a child is through creating and decides to print, if the print icon has been set for "Timed", the child will press the printer icon and once it has been confirmed to send the creation to the printer, the print button on the top toolbar will disappear for the time frame set in the "Teacher Options" menu, so that the child can not continuously click and lock-up the printer or waste paper.
Q: Can Early Learning Toolkit be networked?
A: Yes! However, we recommend installing the software on all individual machines. If you have a CC3 network we have created MSIs specifically for installation on CC3. If you are not sure of your network configurations, please feel free to contact us and we will provide you with a solution for your network environment.
Q: How can I watch the Video Tutorials?
A: The Early Learning Toolkit comes with Video Tutorials supplied on the disk, and upon installation of the program you will be prompted to whether or not you would like to install the videos. If the videos are installed, there should be a shortcut icon on the desktop that allows you to open the videos directly, if there is no shortcut you will be able to find them in the same location as the program folder for the Early Learning Toolkit.
  Q: Can I import a background image into 2Go?
A: Yes! In 2Go, we provide 5 templates to choose from as the background for the children to explore. If you would like to import an image of a map or maze etc., you can do so by simply going into the "Teacher Options" menu and under the "Background" tab click on the "Import Background Picture" icon, and locate within your files the image you would like to select as the background.

  Music Toolkit FAQ's
Q: Can I use an external musical keyboard with Music Toolkit?
A: No. The Music Toolkit is for use with a standard computer keyboard and mouse.
Q: What is the "QWE" button stand for on the toolbar?
A: "QWE" stands for "QWERTY", which is the top row of keys on a standard computer keyboard tray. If you click the "QWE" button once, you will see the on-screen piano keys in 2Play labeled with the "QWERTY" keys, so the user knows which keyboard keys will press the on-screen keys. If you click the "QWE" button twice, you will see that the "QWERTY" option is removed, and the keys now showcase the scale letters or notes. If you press the "QWE" button a third time, the scale letters stay in place and the "QWERTY" labels appear as well. With a press of the "QWE" button a fourth time, all labels will be removed.
Q: In the 2Sequence application, how do I get the instruments in the chart?
A: In 2Sequence, you can formulate your own musical story board by dragging and dropping the musical instrument images on the bottom portion of the screen into the boxed location that you think it will sound the best. The tabs at the bottom of the screen tell you which type of instrument and sounds are within those tabs. Drag and Drop to create your own garage band - the possibilities are endless!
Q: In 2Compose how can I choose what types of notes are used in the staves?
A: In the "Teacher Options" menu (Shift+Ctrl+O), you can choose which notes the students can use to compose their own sheet of music. Under the "Notation" tab you can check and uncheck the notes you would like to appear.
Q: In 2Compose, can I change the Time Signature?
A: Yes! Again, in the "Teacher Options" menu (Shift+Ctrl+O), under the "Notation" tab you will see a tick box in the lower right corner asking if you would like to "Allow Choice of Time Signature." Check that to allow choice, or uncheck to not allow choice.
Q: How can I access the videos to learn more about the applications?
A: To launch the Music Toolkit Video Tutorial, simply launch the Music Toolkit program from your desktop, and on the toolbar with the six application buttons, located up in the top right corner of that toolbar, you will see a button that reads: "Videos".
